Joy Ann Williams has been part of the Rhode Island theater scene for years, composing music for The Rhode Island Shakespeare Theater, Down Right Theater, and Moonlight Theater Company. Celtic influences are threaded through her music, weaving a fabric of lilting and evocative sonority.

The simplicity and warmth of Irish folk flutes and whistles, ornamented with Celtic style cranning, give Joy's original tunes a consistent, identifiable and resonant sound.  Joy's round and centered tone vibrates with an instinctive musicality as her original compositions echo and evoke the Celtic American experience.
